baby clothes
the more colourful ones compared to the (boring) white pjs which she'll probably be wearing for the first couple of months. there aren't really many unisex outfits out there (for practical reasons), perhaps just the occasional yellow ones (i still have yet to find the perfect duck-themed outfit). in any case, girls' clothes dotted with colourful hearts, flowers, strawberries/cherries and butterflies are definitely more appealing.

at 25 weeks & 1 day
an ultrasound scan of her taken today - if you can make it out, that's just her head and that nose bridge there. based on her tummy size, she's estimated to be about 880 grams today which is considered medium-big. she's grown more than double since 4 weeks ago, looks like mummy has been feeding her well! mummy has put on another 2.8kg, argh.

nice to haves!
from pupsik studio:
BEANSPROUT PILLOW - Beansprout pillows are traditionally made by loving grandmothers back in the old days. The natural kernals from beansprouts are used to make pillows that are light, cooling and safe for newborn babies especially. As newborn babies are easily startled by sudden noises and movements, these beansprout pillows are usually placed over their chest to give them a sense of security when they sleep. As they grow older, these pillows turn into a comfort pillow that they will not be able to do without. A wonderful baby keepsake! Price: S$25.90.
DIMPLED PILLOW - Designed with a small dimple in the middle to allow baby's head to sit comfortably, our pillows give just the right amount of neck support that baby needs. These pillows are not only perfect for the cot, they are also light, compact and pretty enough to place in your pram when you go out! Price: S$16.90.

preparation for the arrival of our little girl
the baby's room - converted from a study/mini-gym. out goes the study desk, computer, training weights and mountain bike! replaced with a 4-in-1 baby cot/toddler bed, and ikea's chest of drawers and wardrobe. well, we're not allowed to repaint the room (old wife's myth), so it shall remain bright green for now.
latest buys - we're buying the necessities quite slowly... over the past month, we bought baby's basic clothing, bed linen (pink-themed!), bibs for feeding, napkins (mum insists on traditional nappies, but maybe she'll give up, heh), nappy pins, breast pump... but guess there will be tonnes more to buy. i'll try to find time to take pictures of those, so for now, it's just two sets of carter's baby clothes i purchased online last week. baby girls definitely have a wider choice of clothes - everybody's saying they're outgrow their clothes so fast that i shouldn't buy too many but they're just irresistably cute!
